Já não posso mais esconder o apreço que tenho pelos cachimbos Ben Wade, especialmente aqueles produzidos pelo finado artista (se assim posso dizer) Preben Holm.
Esse belíssimo cachimbo inteiramente cercado de "straight grain" é mais um exemplo da capacidade do artesão de cachimbo Holm de honrar seu título de "grain chaser" (que ressalta as características dos veios da madeira ao esculpir de forma livre o cachimbo).
Como minha preguiça já é muito conhecida por aqui, por quê tentar esconder isso ao invés de simplesmente inserir abaixo o texto com a descrição do cachimbo assim como foi feita por seu vendedor no leilão?

HAND CUT FREEHAND estate pipe. This is a
BEAUTIFUL piece of briar, that has FANTASTIC 360 DEGREES OF BEAUTIFUL STRAIGHT
GRAIN, with fantastic curves that gracefully follow and flow with the grain in
a way that only Preben the "grain chaser" could do, and a very clean
plateau rim!
This pipe was VERY gently and lightly used, and needed on
the gentlest cleaning and restoration to return to near new condition! The rim is pristine, and the chamber is
smooth and round. The stem is in near
perfect, glassy condition! You won't be
disappointed with this one!
I love the this pipe's GRACE and smooth lines, of the sort
that only Preben could execute (though I am biased, I'm a big Preben fan!).
It's got beautiful, classic Danish style!
This is an awesome example of the legendary Danish freehand school of
pipemaking, where each individual piece of briar determines the eventual shape
of the pipe in the hands of a master carver, and Preben Holm was certainly
that! The stampings are very crisp, attesting to the care taken of this lightly
smoked pipe. A GORGEOUS pipe from a
legendary carver.

well-preserved estate pipes often smoke better than new ones.
This pipe also comes with a custom pipe sock to protect your
investment.
Markings: On the bottom of the bowl is stamped PREBEN HOLM
over HAND CUT over COPENHAGEN over DENMARK next to a 2 on the left. All stampings are very crisp.

with a 7/8" chamber diameter.
