LINDO! Cachimbo Ben Wade ROYAL GRAIN Preben Holm

"You are bidding on a GORGEOUS & SUPER CLEAN PREBEN HOLM HAND CUT FREEHAND estate pipe.  This is a BEAUTIFUL piece of briar, that has FANTASTIC 360 DEGREES OF BEAUTIFUL STRAIGHT GRAIN, with fantastic curves that gracefully follow and flow with the grain in a way that only Preben the "grain chaser" could do, and a very clean plateau rim!

This pipe was VERY gently and lightly used, and needed on the gentlest cleaning and restoration to return to near new condition!  The rim is pristine, and the chamber is smooth and round.  The stem is in near perfect, glassy condition!  You won't be disappointed with this one!

I love the this pipe's GRACE and smooth lines, of the sort that only Preben could execute (though I am biased, I'm a big Preben fan!). It's got beautiful, classic Danish style!  This is an awesome example of the legendary Danish freehand school of pipemaking, where each individual piece of briar determines the eventual shape of the pipe in the hands of a master carver, and Preben Holm was certainly that! The stampings are very crisp, attesting to the care taken of this lightly smoked pipe.  A GORGEOUS pipe from a legendary carver.

But don't take my word.... the pictures speak for themselves.

This one is sure to be an eminent example of how well-preserved estate pipes often smoke better than new ones.

This pipe also comes with a custom pipe sock to protect your investment.

Markings: On the bottom of the bowl is stamped PREBEN HOLM over HAND CUT over COPENHAGEN over DENMARK next to a 2 on the left.  All stampings are very crisp.

Dimensions: 6-15/16” long, 2-5/16” tall, 1-9/16" wide, with a 7/8" chamber diameter.

WEIGHT: 53 grams

On land, at sea, at home, abroad, / I smoke my pipe and worship God."

Whene'er I take my pipe and stuff it
And smoke to pass the time away
My thoughts, as I sit there and puff it,
Dwell on a picture sad and grey:
It teaches me that very like
Am I myself unto my pipe.

Like me this pipe, so fragrant burning,
Is made of naught but earthen clay;
To earth I too shall be returning,
And cannot halt my slow decay.
My well used pipe, now cracked and broken,
Of mortal life is but a token.

No stain, the pipe's hue yet doth darken;
It remains white. Thus do I know
That when to death's call I must harken
My body, too, all pale will grow.
To black beneath the sod 'twill turn,
Likewise the pipe, if oft it burn.

Or when the pipe is fairly glowing,
Behold then instantaneously,
The smoke off into thin air going,
'Til naught but ash is left to see.
Man's fame likewise away will burn
And unto dust his body turn.

How oft it happens when one's smoking,
The tamper's missing from it's shelf,
And one goes with one's finger poking
Into the bowl and burns oneself.
If in the pipe such pain doth dwell
How hot must be the pains of Hell!

Thus o'er my pipe in contemplation
Of such things - I can constantly
Indulge in fruitful meditation,
And so, puffing contentedly,
On land, at sea, at home, abroad,
I smoke my pipe and worship God.

PETERSON B5 DONEGAL ROCKY FISHTAIL PIPE STERLING SLIVER BAND

Sim, amigos.

Length = 5.83 inches / 148mm
Bowl Height = 2 inches / 51.5mm
Chamber Diameter = 0.84 inches / 21.3mm
Weight = 1.9 oz. / 54g

Peterson Kinsale XL24

A pegada é ótima, nada a reclamar.
